Scope of the Journal


The technical scope of the e-Journal of Land and Water is to publish scientific papers of international significance covering basic, applied and strategic research in the area of land and water. It focuses on the integration of the various aspects of land and water management and conservation at a range of scales. While the journal provides an ideal framework for research topics of multi-disciplinary nature, it equally allows to cover specific components from the wider land and water arena:


Irrigation science, technology and management
Drainage and land degradation
Catchment management
Soil and water conservation
Community, social and economic aspects of land and water
Sustainability issues
Policy and planning

The main objective of the Sakia.org e-publish framework is to provide the supply and access system as well as the organisational structure for open access reviewed and peer reviewed scientific publishing (e-journal). The e-Journal of Land and Water is being provided and published by Sakia.org e-publish under the general principles of open access in the sense of free and open access to the end user.
